This website was created on 28 June 2014, a month before Gaurish started his undergraduate studies. This happens to be the yearly “perfect day“, since 28th June = 28/6 or 6/28, has both date and month as perfect numbers.
This is a 5 year long project and is supposed to end in August 2019.
This website has been created for sharing the information gathered (before joining college) about starting research career in mathematics in India. The main purpose is to mitigate one of the major problem in education system: unavailability of information required to access the resources available.
Thus by this website we want to meet two motives:
Firstly, we have uploaded all the database about opportunities in Mathematics in India, so that we don’t have to listen again “Oh ! I didn’t know that this option was available. If I knew about it earlier, I would have been able to save many precious years of mine“. All this is posted in form of “Pages” on this website.
Secondly, we want to share my feelings for mathematics. All this is posted in form of “Blog Posts” on this website.
