1. Men of Mathematics (Volume 1 & 2) by E. T. Bell : Wrong but interesting stories of western Mathematicians
  2. The Mathematical Experience by P. J. Davis & R. Hersh : Very well written account on mathematics
  3. Euclid’s Window : The story of geometry from parallel lines to hyper space by Leonard Mlodinow: I loved reading this book (also LM has co-authored “The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking”)
  4. Fermat’s Last Theorem by Simon Singh : A very detailed account on Fermat Theorem & a good number of references
  5. Journey Through Genius by William Dunham : Wonderful discussions about mathematical works of great grand mathematicians (This book is actually in curriculum of B. Math at ISI, Banglore.)
